Mind and Body
Counterintuitively, roads that are straight and perfectly flat are the hardest to trek. The horizon stays stiff, each plant is just like the next. This has a time-freezing effect.  It takes mind over matter to pull through. It helps to count or sing. I got that down, most of the time.
