The Bikings

On my last night in Montreal I went on a quest for the best club. First I had some beers at Le Cheval Blanc, where I found the Argentina soccar fan (see picture below). And I asked the bartender for some hot spots in Montreal. Club Le Daoame was the top pick.

The electronic club du jour was on Mont-Royal between Saint-Laurant and Saint-Denis. I walked up Mont-Royal but didn't find the club, so I went in another bar and asked, where is it?

The DJ paused his record to walk me to Le Daoame . It's not hopping until midnight, he said, so we hung out at his bar. He introduced me to his friends and the bar owner (pictured above). We had shots and talked about Quebec, etc., until I met Dave at the club at 12:30.

The club was really awesome - an upstairs apartment converted into an open space, with deep house music and funky lighting. 89 rue Mont-Royal.
