Bulls Island Campground
We met Andrew Besold at the campsite. turns out he is a local bike tourist who is full of good tips. we have some new higlights and warnings to consider as we continue on our route. For instance, he mentioned that there are lots of bears in the Adirondack Mountains, so we may want to take only the Eastern section of the loop and stay near towns. We are inclined to agree!

Hey! Great to see you guys made it to Montreal! How could you just stop at the Canadian Boarder and not go all the way.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
My week-long ride went great. No flats until the last day (then I got two). Didn't realize that it was over 100 miles from Newark DE to Cape Henlopen but luckily I just kept on going and rode all 102 miles! I was lucky that I had a tailwind out of the north to push me (was probably pushing against you) however there is no shade in Delaware! It's all corn and soybean fields like Kansas or Iowa. Got pretty crispy. I didn't make it into camp until 10pm but that wasn't a problem. Riding in the cool of the evening an night was a welcomed reprieve from the heat of the day!
Again congrats. Looks like you had a great time.
